The white-columned, Greek Revival tasting room at Lamoreaux Landing is one of the most recognizable buildings in Finger Lakes wine country. Perched high above the eastern shore of Seneca Lake near Lodi, it offers sweeping views of the water and the western hillside. But the building is not the only thing worth noting. The wines—particularly the estate Rieslings—are among the most consistently polished in the region.
Founded by Mark Wagner in 1992, Lamoreaux Landing farms multiple estate vineyards along Seneca Lake and produces a range that includes dry and semi-dry Riesling, Chardonnay, Cabernet Franc, and a Meritage-style red blend. The dry Rieslings are the strongest offerings, showing the mineral backbone that Seneca Lake’s east side does well. The tasting room is spacious and well-organized, handling weekend crowds without feeling rushed. An understated but dependable stop on the Seneca Lake trail.
